Niccolò Valmori holds a PhD in History from the European University Institute. He has been visiting fellow at Stanford University, Michigan University and University of Pennsylvania, post-doctoral fellow at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS), Paris. Before joining MERCATOR he was post-doctoral research associate at King’s College, London. He has published on financial elites, the interactions between finance and politics and the French revolution. Within the MERCATOR project he will work on the prosopography of the financial elites between 1980s to 2000s. This analysis will provide new elements to the comprehension of the momentous changes that affected the financial world and its global players between the end of the last century and the one we live in.
